Youth Ambassadors Leading Louisville

Youth Ambassadors Leading Louisville (Y.A.L.L.)

Youth Ambassadors Leading Louisville (Y.A.L.L.) is a new program through the Office of the Mayor that aims to nurture and enhance the leadership potential of high school students.  The program will offer two Juniors from each high school in Jefferson County the chance to actively participate in shaping the future of Metro-sponsored events their Senior year.

Students will promote, participate, and propel events including the Mayor’s Hike, Bike, & Paddle, Keeper of the Dream Award, WorldFest, and the Veteran's Day Parade.

After each event, the students will complete a form detailing the experience and will be asked to share their highlights.

1. Students must have at least a 3.7 weighted GPA

2. Application: Submit a 90-second video introducing yourself, why you are interested in becoming a Youth Ambassador your Senior year, and how you will connect your fellow classmates to city events. Find an object in Louisville that inspires you and tell us why. We encourage you to be creative, articulate, and enthusiastic in your response!  Please submit your video application to your school.
