Louisville Says Goodbye to Muhammad Ali
Louisville showed an outpouring of support and compassion for Muhammad Ali and his family in the days following his death on June 3, 2016. Ali, a Louisville native, was laid to rest on June 10 at Cave Hill Cemetery.

- Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer ordered flags lowered to half-staff at Metro Hall and other government buildings.
- Louisville residents and fans left flowers and mementos at the Ali Center and Muhammad Ali's childhood home.
