The Air Pollution Control District has existed to protect Louisville's air since 1945. A committed group of environmental engineers, inspectors, technicians, compliance officers, and professionals enforce the laws that keep the air clean and monitor Louisville's air to make sure that it is in compliance with National Ambient Air Quality Standards.
