2018 APCD Clearing The Air Workshop

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District's award-winning Clearing The Air Workshop Series is moving online beginning in April. “As we all continue to adjust to this new 'normal,' air pollution continues to be an issue in Louisville that affects you no matter who you are or where you live,” said APCD Environmental Coordinator Torend Collins, who is overseeing the workshop series. “We are using technology to continue providing information and access to resources that can help the community better understand what goes into keeping our air clean.”

The goal of “Clearing The Air” is to give the public an inside look at the APCD, everything from the science of air pollution to the laws and regulations that protect our health from harmful emissions. “People don’t always know where to direct their questions and concerns about air quality,” King said. “This is an opportunity to make a direct connection with the professionals tasked with protecting air quality.”

The workshops are free and open (virtually) to the public. For updates about the workshops, check this page or call (502) 574-6000. You can also follow us on Twitter @LouAPCD.
