Louisville Metro and QK4 (project consultants) are in the process of establishing several concepts aimed at addressing safety and functionality along the Bardstown Rd/Baxter Ave corridor from Broadway to I-264. As data continues to be collected and public opinion is gathered, Louisville Metro and Qk4 will continue to draw scenarios on how the city can invest in Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue to make it safer for all users (walk, bike, ride on the bus, drive a car).
PUBLIC PRESENTATIONS AND SURVEYS
Like any planning process, it is vital that the public play an integral role in planning for the future of their community. Louisville Metro and QK4 have conducted multiple public engagement opportunities to garner feedback form the public on how to best improve safety along the corridor.
Public Survey #1 - Louisville Metro staff and their consultants created an online survey in late October 2107 that posed initial questions to the public about how people use the corridor and their safety. Click here for survey results
Public Meeting #1 - The first public meeting was held on Novemebr 7, 2017 and served as a kickoff meeting aimed at determining all the issues (good and bad) along the corridor and some initial possible solutions. Click here for presentation
Public Meeting #2 - The second meeting (April 19, 2018) was an opportunity for the public to see some of the initial concepts that could potentially be implemented to immprove safety along the corridor. Click here for presentation
