Seneca Golf Course

Louisville Ky Image

Louisville Parks and Recreation's 10 municipal golf courses will remain open for play. The department has taken several steps to ensure the safety of players and employees.

In the course clubhouses, food service will be limited to take out only. Tables and chairs will be removed to prevent social gathering, and patrons are discouraged from congregating inside them. Additionally, bathrooms and touch points will be cleaned multiple times daily, credit card terminals will be cleaned after every use, and clubhouse employees will use gloves during every transaction.

Golf carts are cleaned after every use. Golfers are encouraged to keep six feet away from each other during play, and flags are to be left in the holes at all times, based on guidance from the Department of Health and Wellness.

Scorecard

Rated the sixth-toughest course in Kentucky and voted “Best of Louisville” for several years running. This hilly course rolls through beautiful Seneca Park, with Beargrass Creek winding its way among the numerous trees and fairways that are well-manicured zoysia grass. Seneca has hosted numerous national events. Gary Player, with the most titles of any golfer, won his first American tournament here (1958 Derby City Open). This is one of the most heavily-used courses in the city. Seneca boasts a fantastic chipping green and driving range, along with a well-run Junior Club program. We recommend calling ahead or booking online to reserve tee times.
