Youth Mental Health First Aid

Open ONLY to KY residents in Bullitt, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Trimble Counties

Youth Mental Health First Aid is a training program — like regular First Aid or CPR — designed to give people the skills to help a young person age (10-17) who is developing a mental health or substance problem or experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Individuals trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid can help to: break down the associated with mental illness and substance use disorders; reach out to those who suffer in silence and let young people know that support is available in their community.

The course consists of 1.5 hours of independent work and 4.5 hours of virtual training.

FREE 6-hour course for Veteran and Military Families!

Sometimes first aid isn’t a bandage or CPR. Sometimes, first aid is YOU!
