The next Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth or Dustin Johnson may be crowned this June at Oxmoor Country Club as the Louisville golf club plays host to the SwingThought Tour, a developmental professional golf tour.
Next to the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour, the SwingThought Tour is the only other professional tour in the country to offer a series of professional golf events. More than 250 SwingThought Tour players have or continue to play on the PGA Tour. SwingThought Tour alumni have won a total of 17 major championships. Notable alumni of the tour include Bubba Watson, Keegan Bradley, John Daly and Zach Johnson.
The SwingThought Tour event in Louisville will be a 72-hole tournament, with a cut after 36 holes. Players will compete for a minimum $10,000 top prize, and the field is open to any player currently on the SwingThought Tour, as well as the top player from a local qualifying event held Sunday, June 3 at Oxmoor. Entry fee for the qualifying tournament is $175.
The third major on SwingThought Tour’s annual calendar takes place June 11-16 at the roughly 7,000-yard Oxmoor Country Club, located at9000 Limehouse Lane in Louisville.
