75th Annual Junior Falls Cities Golf Championship
When: June 24 - 28
Where: Iroquois Golf Course
The Junior Falls Cities is among the longest standing and most historical junior golf tournaments in the United States. The event is hosted each year by the Louisville Metro Parks PGA Golf Professionals at one of our ten municipal golf courses. The list of champions is a true identifier of who's who for golf in Louisville and surrounding cities since 1945. Some of the notable winners include major winners Justin Thomas and Bobby Nichols, former PGA Tour winners such as Jodie Mudd and Frank Beard, along with other successful NCAA players, and PGA Professionals. Two-time winners include Parge Fischer (father of Mayor Greg Fischer), Rich Casabella, Denny Thompson, Patrick Vadden, and Brandon Berry. The uniqueness of this event is the Match Play aspect. With one on one matches starting the second day, youth learn more about sportsmanship, winning, losing, and mental toughness of traditional stroke play formats.
