Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing will host an “Old-Fashioned Family Holiday Festival” on December 6, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This community holiday celebration will include photo opportunities with Santa, arriving by horse-drawn wagon at 3 p.m., as well as holiday craft activities for children, and musical performances by area church and school choirs. Other featured activities include horse-drawn wagon rides, and a silent auction of holiday wreaths.

Louisville Metro Government will hold a surplus vehicle auction on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 @ 9:00 AM at the Fleet Services Lot, 3515 Newburg Road – weather permitting.  

Approximately 60 vehicles, including many Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors will be up for auction.

Develop Louisville (the city’s newly formed real estate development arm of Louisville Forward), has a new pricing policy for hundreds of properties that citizens can buy from the city.  This pricing policy is meant to make purchasing a property from the city more transparent and predictable, while also encouraging redevelopment of these vacant properties.

Nov 15 2014 Commissioned glass artwork dedicated at historic chapel at Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing

A dedication event for new glass art windows was held today at the historic Moremen Family Chapel in southwest Louisville, on the grounds of Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing, 7410 Moorman Road.

The commissioned artwork, created by nationally renowned and Louisville-based artists Bob Markert and Peter Eichhorn, was made possible with a donation from Louisville Gas & Electric to the nonprofit organization that supports the historic homestead.

Only one other city in the nation has done so: San Francisco.
