Jan 27 2015 First Wave of 2015 Forecastle Festival Lineup Announced

The Forecastle Festival will return this summer led by Louisville hometown heroes My Morning Jacket; soulful breakout star, Sam Smith; southern rock heavyweights, Widespread Panic; and indie veterans, Modest Mouse. The three-day music celebration, now in its 13th year, will take place July 17–19, 2015, at the award-winning Waterfront Park, a sweeping green space on the banks of the Ohio River framed by the skyline of downtown Louisville.

Jan 26 2015 Forecastle Festival Will Dock at Waterfront Park Through 2019

Forecastle Festival, the nationally-recognized event held annually in Louisville, is here to stay.  Mayor Greg Fischer joined Waterfront Development Corporation president David Karem and Forecastle Festival Founder and Captain J.K. McKnight to announce Forecastle Festival’s five-year commitment to Louisville Waterfront Park. Under the commitment, the festival will take place in the award-winning park until at least 2019.   

Jan 26 2015 METCO Approves Three Loans To Help Renovate Former KT's Restaurant

Three loans were approved in the amount of $160,000 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. These loans will leverage a total investment of $785,000 to assist Le Moo, LLC, owned by Kevin Grangier, to renovate the property located at 2300 Lexington Road and prepare it for productive commercial reuse as a steak house with live music.

-          $50,000 façade loan

-          $100,000 business loan

Jan 22 2015 Proposed Title V Construction Permit 54-02-C(R2) for Hexion, Inc.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to revise a construction permit for Hexion Inc., 6200 Camp Ground Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.03, for Emission Unit 7 to revise the catalytic oxidizer monitoring requirements. The 30 day public comment period starts January 24, 2015 and ends on February 23, 2015. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
