Mar 9 2015 Public Health and Wellness Offers Free Stop Smoking Classes

The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness and its community partners offer free stop smoking classes using the Cooper/Clayton method.  The 13-week program includes weekly support group meetings combined with the use of nicotine replacement products such as patches and gum.  Participants receive free weekly supplies of nicotine replacement products.

Louisville placed ninth in Site Selection Magazine’s ranking of top tier metro areas with population over one million – that was up seven spots from the year before, the largest jump by any metro area in the top ten.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a construction permit to LLFLEX, LLC (aluminum foil laminating), 1225 West Burnett Ave, in accordance with Regulation 2.03, for a modification to Laminator #14. The 30 day public comment period starts March 05, 2015 and ends on April 06, 2015. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
