LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (October 30, 2014) The Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness has added more classes to help smokers break the tobacco habit.  Classes use the Cooper/Clayton Method to Stop Smoking.  The 13-week program includes weekly support group meetings combined with the use of nicotine replacement products such as patches and gum.

The Subsidy Phase of LIHEAP will run this year from Nov. 3 through Dec. 11.

Oct 21 2014 Proposed FEDOOP Operating Permit for Sealed Air Corp.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a revised FEDOOP operating permit to Sealed Air Corporation (polyethylene foam manufacturing facility), 7665 National Turnpike in accordance with Regulation 2.17.  The 30 day public comment period starts October 22, 2014 and ends on November 21, 2014.  A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
