Charlie Vettiner Park Road will be closed to through traffic between Mary Dell Lane and Easum Road to fix road damage caused by a collapsed drain pipe. The road closure is scheduled to last from Tuesday, December 1, through Friday, December 4.

Nov 27 2015 Bicycle Network Input Sought


LOUISVILLE, Ky. (November 27, 2015) – The City of Louisville has installed more than 50 miles of bike lanes, shared road markings and other bicycle facilities over the past two years. That includes the creation of the city’s first true urban bike network, one that connects downtown to Jefferson Community and Technical College, Old Louisville, the University of Louisville and neighborhoods west and east of downtown.

Nov 25 2015 Mayor Fischer Opens Heritage Green Neighborhood Activity Center

Heritage Green, one of the largest multifamily projects in the region, opened a new activity center today in South Louisville. The completion of this space was made possible by a unique partnership between the Louisville Redevelopment Authority, Underhill Associates, Metro Parks and Louisville Metro Government.

Nov 25 2015 City Receives Grant For Neighborhood Greening Plan

In an effort to help make Louisville greener and healthier, the Louisville Metro Office of Sustainability will develop a pilot neighborhood greening plan with a grant it was awarded by the Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities and its partner, the Urban Sustainability Directors Network. The project aims to assess the link between health and environmental improvements.
