The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue an operating permit to Texas Gas Transmission, LLC (natural gas transmission company), 13027 Gaslight Way, Louisville, KY 40299, in accordance with Regulation 2.16. The 30 day public comment period starts May 28, 2016 and ends on June 27, 2016. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

May 20 2016 APCD ending redundant Stage II gas pump program

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board has ratified a plan to stop requiring gas stations in Louisville/Jefferson County to install and maintain equipment to capture fugitive gasoline vapors at the pump. The so-called “Stage II” program is being eliminated now that a majority of motor vehicles have vapor-recovery technology installed at the factory.
