Sep 4 2014 New Data Shows Louisville is a Leading Metropolitan Area for Exports

The U.S. Department of Commerce?s International Trade Administration has announced new export data that shows merchandise exports from the Louisville-Jefferson County metropolitan area totaled a record $8.9 billion, an increase of 16 percent or $1.2 billion from 2012 to 2013. This growth helped Louisville to remain a top metropolitan area for exports in 2013.

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to renew an operating permit for Louisville Gas & Electric Company, Cane Run Generating Station (electricity generating facility), 5252 Cane Run Road, in accordance with Regulation 2.16. The 30-day public comment period starts August 30, 2014 and ends on September 29, 2014. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
