Neighborhood Youth BoardLocated in eight neighborhoods across the Louisville Metro area, Neighborhood Youth Board activities are designed to empower young people to reach their full potential, and to encourage peer-to-peer interaction - all towards creating positive individual and social change.  The five locations are: 


Neighborhood youth Board members are exposed to a wide variety of information of interest to teens, and are encouraged to voice their concerns - and possible solutions - to those issues that affect us as a whole - teen pregnancy, gangs, violence, and drugs in our community.

The activities of each NYB site may vary according to the interests of the youth, yet each offers Educational Programming -- academic support, life skills, peer mediation/conflict resolution, college prep; Community Service Learning -- taking part in select community volunteer opportunities; Special Programming -- dances, talent showcases, field trips, college tours; and Fun -- recreation , picnics, skating, bowling and more!
