Jul 30 2015 CurrentProperties, LLC Receives Approval of METCO Loan

CurrentProperties, LLC has been approved for a METCO loan in the amount of $34,500 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. The loan will leverage a total investment of $70,500 to assist Rick and Lisa Schardein in the improvement of 1324 E. Washington St.

Improvements to be made on the structure known as the Bakery Square building, located in the heart of Butchertown, include painting and repairs to the windows and façade.

Jul 30 2015 Proposed FEDOOP Operating Permit O-0333-15-F for V.G. Reed & Sons

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to renew a FEDOOP operating permit for V.G. Reed & Sons (Lithographic Printing Facility), 1002 South 12th Street in accordance with Regulation 2.17. The 30 day public comment period starts July 31, 2015 and ends on August 31, 2015. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.

One of Kentucky’s largest privately owned companies has decided to expand its presence in the Commonwealth. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Gov. Steve Beshear today announced Thorntons Inc. is expanding its headquarters in Louisville with a move to a larger facility. Thorntons, a growing convenience chain retailer that provides fresh foods, high quality beverages and fuel, will create 110 jobs and invest nearly $28 million into the project.
