Hearing Officer Edmund P. Karem, based on evidence presented at a hearing of the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control Board on September 15, 2015, has recommended revocation of a two-year probation on a 36-day suspension issued in July 2015 of the liquor licenses held by Cahoot’s Inc., DBA Cahoot’s.

Oct 9 2015 Anthony Smith to run national anti-violence partnership

Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that Anthony Smith, director of the Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods, has accepted the position of inaugural chief executive officer of Cities United, a Washington D.C.-based collective of mayors from across the nation working to stop the unprecedented and devastating loss of human life happening in cities throughout America, particularly among African American men and boys.  He will begin his new job November 2.

Oct 9 2015 Proposed Title V PAL Construction Permit 30043-11-C (R1) for Ford Motor Company (KTP)

The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) proposes to issue a Plant-wide Applicability Limit (PAL) construction permit to Ford Motor Company-Kentucky Truck Plant, (manufactures automobiles, light- and medium-duty trucks), 3001 Chamberlain Lane, Louisville, KY 40241 in accordance with Regulation 2.04/2.05. The 30 day public comment period starts October 11, 2015 and ends on November 10, 2015. A public hearing may be scheduled if the District determines that there are germane, unresolved issues or substantial public interest, in accordance with Regulation 2.07.
