Louisville partners with Etsy to launch Craft Entrepreneurship Program
Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that Louisville is partnering with online marketplace provider Etsy to launch the city’s inaugural Craft Entrepreneurship Program. The three-week program will provide micro-business training to underemployed, low-income adults with existing creative skills to help supplement their income and sell their products to new markets.

Louisville Recognized for National Sustainability Excellence
Mayor Greg Fischer announced today that Louisville was awarded a 4-STAR Community Rating for sustainability excellence. Louisville is the first city in Kentucky to achieve certification under the STAR Community Rating System.

CurrentProperties, LLC Receives Approval of METCO Loan
CurrentProperties, LLC has been approved for a METCO loan in the amount of $34,500 by the Louisville Metropolitan Business Development Corporation. The loan will leverage a total investment of $70,500 to assist Rick and Lisa Schardein in the improvement of 1324 E. Washington St.
Improvements to be made on the structure known as the Bakery Square building, located in the heart of Butchertown, include painting and repairs to the windows and façade.
