Louisville Metro Government has put 71 new datasets online in the past year, bringing the total to 107, a 197% increase, according to the city’s first annual Open Data Report.

Oct 30, 2014 Public Health and Wellness Adds More Classes to Help Smokers Quit

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – (October 30, 2014) The Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness has added more classes to help smokers break the tobacco habit.  Classes use the Cooper/Clayton Method to Stop Smoking.  The 13-week program includes weekly support group meetings combined with the use of nicotine replacement products such as patches and gum.

Councilman Rick Blackwell will host the last “Coffee with your Councilman” in 2014 for District 12 on Saturday, November 1st. The event is a chance for residents to meet with their Councilman.  

Oct 28, 2014 Low Income Heating Assistance Program Begins Nov. 3

The annual program that helps low income residents of Louisville with their utility bills begins Nov. 3. LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, is a federally funded program operated by Community Action Partnership, part of Louisville Metro Community Services. The Subsidy Phase of LIHEAP will run this year from Nov. 3 through Dec. 11.
