Bike Lanes Planned for Kentucky, Twelfth, Thirteenth Streets

Public Meetings October 21 and October 22


Two public meetings will be held to discuss plans for the installation of new bike lanes along Twelfth and Thirteenth streets between Rowan and West Kentucky streets, and along West Kentucky Street between Eighth and Twelfth streets.

Oct 13 2015 New Section of Louisville Loop Now Open

Mayor Greg Fischer and District 14 Councilwoman Cindi Fowler joined officials from Louisville Metro Parks and Louisville Gas And Electric Co. today to dedicate the newest section of the Louisville Loop, a 2.66-mile segment from Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing to the Mill Creek Generating Station in southwest Louisville.

Louisville, KY- Councilman Robin Engel (District 22) will deliver the keynote address at the Grand Opening celebration for Morning Pointe of Louisville (4711 S. Hurstbourne Parkway) on Thursday,Oct 15th. There will be an open house from 4:00-7:00 pm with a formal ribbon cutting and program at 4:30 pm.

Oct 12 2015 MISA Fabricating Inc. Set to Expand in Louisville

MISA Metal Fabricating Inc., an industrial mainstay for more than a quarter century, will expand at the Jefferson Riverport International Industrial Park, Mayor Greg Fischer and Gov. Steve Beshear announced today.

MISA, which provides steel cutting, welding, machining, fabricating and other services to industrial clients, will create 18 jobs and invest more than $4.3 million in the project.

Speaking from the deck of the new Interstate 65 bridge in downtown Louisville, Gov. Steve Beshear along with Mayor Greg Fischer announced today the bridge will open to two-way traffic ahead of schedule.
