Apr 27 2015 Extreme Park 2.0 Reopens, Named for Former Mayor Dave Armstrong

Surrounded by skaters and bikers, Mayor Greg Fischer today unveiled the newly redesigned Dave Armstrong Extreme Park, renamed in honor of the former Mayor who created the popular park in 2002.

“Dave had a vision, ahead of its time, of a world-class facility for skaters and bikers that would become a huge attraction for our city, especially for young people,” Fischer said. “It’s fitting to honor his vision by naming this fresh and re-energized park in his honor.”

Louisville, KY –  Councilwoman Julie Denton (District 19) will hold a “Meet and Greet” session Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Starbucks inside Kroger at the Eastgate Shopping Center (12501 Shelbyville Road) at 9:00 a.m. This informal time is intended for residents to have an opportunity to stop by their local Kroger store and meet the new District 19 Councilwoman and discuss any issues or concerns they may have about the community.
