For three quarters of a century, it has been a unique landmark in South Louisville focusing on promoting textiles and weaving as a creative art. It is a place with a rich history both locally and nationally. Councilman Dan Johnson (D-21) is calling on the community to come out and support of the Little Loomhouse for its 75th Anniversary with the return of the Holiday in the Woods art exhibit and sale beginning on Saturday, November 1st.

When the Limerick Neighborhood decides to focus its attention on cleaning up its streets, there is no fooling around. This Saturday, volunteers will be ready in three different teams to pick up trash and garbage as part of the Brightside Fall Community Cleanup.

Oct 23, 2014 Public Meeting on Snow Routes to be Held

A public meeting will be held November 5, 2014 to present the newly updated routes used for treating roads during snow and ice events in Louisville Metro and allow residents the opportunity to offer input into the 2014/2015 Snow Plan. The meeting will be in the Old Jail Courtroom, 514 W Liberty Street from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Volunteers will have a special task this Saturday in the Old Louisville area as part of the 2014 Brightside Fall Community Cleanup. Councilman David James (D-6) is seeking help in cleaning up a key area at Seventh Street and Magnolia.
