The Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission seeks to be a bridge among the many ethnic, racial, and religious groups in Louisville.
We also ensure that groups in Louisville participate in civic activities and have a voice in the community by bringing awareness of the diversity of our population and the fundamental need to blend these diverse community characteristics into a more understanding, supportive, tolerant, all-inclusive society.
We also have legally-chartered responsibilities to enforce anti-discrimination laws. For an extensive explanation of our legal enforcement duties and equal opportunity services, click here (pdf) (en Español, pdf).
And, we monitor contract compliance for those entities doing business with Louisville Metro Government. Click here for an explanation of our duties.
