Public Health and Wellness to Conduct Phone Survey of Community Health
Beginning October 1, the Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will conduct a phone survey to gather information about the health of Louisville Metro residents. The questions have been approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and are used throughout the United States under the CDC’s Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS).

Public Health and Wellness Offers Free Stop Smoking Classes
The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness and its community partners offer free stop smoking classes using the Cooper/Clayton method. The Cooper/Clayton method to stop smoking is a 13-week program that includes weekly support group meetings combined with the use of nicotine replacement products such as patches and gum. Participants receive free weekly supplies of nicotine replacement products for the first five weeks of the program.
